Don't Be Fooled

Updated: Apr 10, 2018

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday yesterday. I know I sure did. Easter happened to fall on a day many refer to as April Fool's Day. This is a day where people get joy out of tricking one another, or making up a story that they hope people believe, just to get a quick laugh when they shout, "April Fools!"

This blog is to remind you to not get fooled in your everyday life. Did you know that Satan plays April Fool's pranks all year long? I hate to break it to you, but he does. He is the father of all lies, and the master of deceit. One thing we as Christians should do is make sure we are aware of the tricks the enemy will try to play on us. He will not come dressed in a red cape with a pitchfork, he will come disguised as something we find pleasing to the eye.

"(8) Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (9) Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings." - 1 Peter 5:8-9

One thing the devil will do, is attack you through your mind, and through people. People will put on a persona to be something they are not, to get close to you. Once they realize that they cannot use you how they like, they will do everything they can to try to hurt or destroy you. This is not anything new. The devil has been doing this for years. We just have to stay vigilant and be mindful that sometimes, everyone around us, is not really for us. Sometimes people we befriend, join in a relationship with, or even marry are not always on God's team and could very well be trying to draw close to you for ulterior motives.

People are tricky, which is why you have to watch those around you. Give it time, and people will show their true colors. Just be patient and be aware, so you will not be naive when the deception comes to light. Do not put anything past anyone because no matter how long you may know a person, you never REALLY know them. You only know what they show you or allow you to learn about them.

Let's go in to the month of April with a positive mindset, but let's also have our eyes open for the trickery we will encounter unbeknownst.

Xoxo,

Krispin
