It's Not Always What It Seems

"For we live by Faith, not by sight." - 2 Corinthians 5:7

Often times we look at where we are in life and feel like we should be doing more because we find ourselves comparing our journey to someone else's life. We have to keep in mind that people only show you what they want you to see. People only show you the good things that are happening in their life. You may find yourself comparing your life to someone else, when you have no idea what they may have gone through to get to where they are.

Social media can be the devil to an insecure person. Social sites are not for the weak minded. Everyone on social media seems to be looking good and doing good. Why? Because as I previously stated, people only show you the good things that are happening in their life. You may see a couple that is happy online. They might post about how much they love one another or how great their partner is. When they break up, you do not see pictures of these individuals crying or in a sunken place. You never see a post about why they broke up. Again, people only show you the good things that are happening in their life.

Wherever you are in life, know that God has you exactly where he wants you to be. We are to walk in faith, and not by the things we can see with our eyes. Trusting your sight will only lead you to discouragement because God wants you to know that he has the ability to do things far beyond what you are able to see or imagine. Do not get so caught up in what other people are doing, because it is not always what it seems. Some of the richest people on earth are the unhappiest because they are lacking a relationship with God.

A lot of people think that obtaining riches or being married will make them a happy person, but again, it is not always what it seems. I know rich people who are miserable with money because they cannot catch a break from people always asking them for something. You have married people that are miserable in their marriage and would rather be single. Whether you are rich or poor, single or married, you should be happy exactly where you are in life because we all go through seasons. Not all seasons will bring fruition, but every season is preparing you for the manifestation that God has planned for your life.
